I really liked this game. Not sure what all the negative reviews where about. I would say "it is what it is" because of the nudity and obvious reason why I and everyone else bought it. But on it's own merit, it's really a good game. Not the longest game, but plenty of entertainment. The battles where actually challenging towards the end, most of the characters where charming and likable, exploration was definitely rewarded. Thumbs up. I will say, the main character (the one you play as) is au2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665 Perhaps a little more than au2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665 But, considering hypergamy, he is exactly what he has to be for any of the girls liking him to make sense. I hate to say it, but if he was a nice guy, it would be immersion breaking. I died a little typing that. But it's the truth. Another note. I was hoping that there would be possible harem ending. There might be, but I'm having a hard time finding out. The process of earning love and obedience points from the girls is grueling (like real life, lol). If you spend your MP charming them, you get p0wned in fights. If you use your MP to survive the fights, the girls hate your guts. Items to serve as social lubricant are scarce at best. The formula for wooing them requires a doctorate in mathematics. (Not really, and devs - please don't stop using advanced metrics like this, they're wicked cool!) Really, about the only way to get one naked or get anywhere with them is to pick one for each play through, give her all the items and attention, and cross your fingers. Oh, and SAVE FREQUENTLY!! Like before entering EVERY room. You'll run over an event trigger or click on something and you'll be forced to make a choice that has no takesies backsies option. Also, *spoiler alert* don't waste precious resources on the girl with the biggest boobs in the beginning of the game. She dies. I about rage quit on her, lol. All in all, I give this game 9/10.. I'm impressed it's a nice little rpg with several funny moments but it's very short like 6 hrs or less but it's worth the play. "RGSS Player RGSS Player has stopped working" 100% of my "playtime" is failed attempts to launch the game, I have hopes they will fix it because i like AO games but I'm not holding my breath. Cargo Bay : The cargo bay will open the door to many possibilities. The most obvious being the space shuttle. There are many more possibilities, but it really hinges on your creativity. I know the creativity of our players is far greater than my own and I can't wait to see what you do with them. The cargo bay is our most complicated procedural part. It can be resized just like the fuel tank, so it can take on an infinite number of shapes. You can also change the angle the doors open as well as their speed. My son just pointed out to me that the green one looks like a coffin. That wasn't the intention, but just add that to the list of things you can make with the cargo bay part. You could also use it to house custom-made, retractable landing gear. Or you could make a bomb bay (we don't have bombs, but you can pretty much make anything with the fuel tank part). Or set the open angle to zero and use it as a hollow fuselage. Today we looked over the remaining tasks and the long list of bugs and we came to the conclusion that we are extremely unlikely to launch by end of summer (Sept 22nd). Beta version 0.7.0.0 is now available : Eight new engine types, seven new nozzles, and six new fuel types are available which allows for hundreds of possible rocket engine configurations. They also have slider options for size, nozzle length, throat radius, and chamber pressure so really there are infinite possible configurations. The new Performance Analyzer window in the designer will give you immediate feedback. You can see how their performance characteristics change with altitude as you tweak the rocket engine's parameters. This update also brings a lot of improvements and bug fixes for building airplanes. There is now a plane/rocket building mode option available on the command pod and a new visualization tool to help visualize your craft's direction of travel.. Update 1.0.3 and official walkthrough : Dear point and click lovers, just to inform you all that we just updated the game to version 1.0.3 for both PC and Mac. With this update we fixed some minor issues on the PC version and we were able to halve the size of the game, increase its stability and optimize the framerate for the Mac version. About the savegames: PC version: savegames between 1.0.2 (last public PC version) and 1.0.3 are compatible. Mac version: savegames between 1.0.1 (last public Mac version) and 1.0.3 are NOT compatible, but don't worry: you can go back to the previous version at any time and keep the savegames intact! How? Very simple: Right click on "Eselmir and the five magical gifts" on your Steam library. Select "Properties" and select the wished version under the "Betas" tab. Ion Engines : The tyrannical Tsiolkovsky rocket equation [en.wikipedia.org] cannot be avoided. The only way for rockets to accelerate in space is by expelling some of their mass. Most engines do this with combustion, which expels huge amounts of fuel mass at a respectable velocity. This gives great acceleration (and an impressive fireball), but very poor specific impulse. Specific impulse is like gas mileage for rocket engines. Ion engines, on the other hand, take a different approach. They shoot out a minuscule amount of fuel mass, but they do it at insane velocities. Around 40 kilometers per second (90,000mph). This results in a force that is about the equivalent of lifting a piece of paper into the air. That's not very impressive, but they make up for it by taking their time with their fuel. Ion engines can "burn" for weeks, so this small force can add up to an extremely impressive delta-V. This little satellite I made has a delta-V of 14,533 m/s and a burn time of about 72 hours. This weekend I've been prototyping how to use these engines while playing the game at up to 1,000x fast-forward mode. It makes playing with these engines far more enjoyable.. Beta Testing (PC/Mac) : We have recently started (secretly) beta testing SimpleRockets 2 for PC and Mac. We started with a very small group of people, just to ease into this and make sure nothing exploded, including our brains. So far we've had about 165 bug reports submitted and only Nathan's brain has exploded, so it's going well. We'd like to add a few more beta testers.
